Restaurant-Check: Aqua at the Four Seasons Istanbul at the Bosphorus
When you are in Istanbul a dinner at the Bosphorus should not be missed. If you want something special then go to the wonderful Four Seasons. With it's oasis at the river you can enjoy the evening air.
As a starter we were served a tomato with burrata and a beaf carpaccio with truffle cream.
It's not only our first time in Istanbul it's also the first time we tried a Turkish wine. It was really lovely and soft with a fruity taste.
As on our stay in Greece before we had to experience that the turkish cuisine can't prepare Pasta like the Italian ;). The mussles were amazing and the gnocchi with mozarella and fresh tomatoes were very good.
A freshly caught sea bass was our main course. We seldon had such a soft and well tasting fish, sadly the waitor looked a bit clueless while filleting the fish and left very much at the carcass.
All in all it was an amazing evening with wonderful cuisine and view and very friendly but bit hectical service staff, this is comprehensible due to the fact, that it was a high religious holiday.
We were guests of the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. However the above written expresses our own opinion and has not been influenced.
